Help, please!
Hi! I'm new to the site. I've been here for about a month or so and just signed up. I've read everything that I could get my hands on in terms of research, taken mental notes on the do's and don'ts that I've seen members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have posted. After reading, researching, and talking with members that I felt comfortable with expressing my interest with, I'm left with only 2 questions. I feel like the forum is broad enough that I could probably get an answer/someone could point me in the direction of what I need. Here goes:
1. There is a book titled "Shaped to Its Purpose: Delta Sigma Theta, The First Fifty Years". I have read "Search for Sisterhood" by Paula Giddings. It was filled with lots of information. I'm still left searching for the first book I've mentioned and I've asked members and have scoured my city bookstores (major and discount, even some thrift stores) and I've just about tired myself out. I feel that for me to read both books wouldn't hurt but does anyone think it would hurt to just skip reading "Shaped..."? I've read Dr. Height's memoir as well. I feel that research goes a long way.
2. I attended a community college before going to a 4 year institution so would I need to attach that transcript to my packet as well? I figure if I'm treating the informational/rush as a job interview, I need to take a resume listing my community service as well??
I hate to overstep boundaries. I've read plenty of posts on do's and don'ts of this forum and I am humbling myself at the same time and asking for help. So if there is ANY member who can point me in the right direction, your help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Pardon my lane swerve, but have you heard of the library?

Tried there. The librarians never heard of it and it wasn't in the catalog. I'm surprised because it was written by an Alabama school teacher and member of DST. Even Amazon said it was out of print with limited copies. I'm close to just sending a request to see if they can put it on Kindle or NOOK. Don't know if it's possible because of the "out of print" status.

You will have to find a Delta Dear, who really, really, really likes you, to get your hands on this book.
