the hardest ones to read were the ones (yes, multiple) about being raped.

one new member even felt her bond grow after this activity since she could relate to another secret and then felt if that sister could feel comfortable at the house then so could she.

i highly recommended doing this for a fun chapter! and then, of course, we mailed them all to postsecret!
This sounds like a great activity... I will recommend it to our chapter.

It was a really cool exercise that helped us all realize not everyone is perfect. After all, we all have secrets!

Postsecret is totally my Sunday addiction. I get so sad when I've read all the ones for the week...I always crave more!

Just read the page for first time. Do posts ever include wishes? Such as "I wish I were able to ask that cute guy in Econ class out for coffee" or "I wish I would win the lottery" ? Or is it not that type of secrets (even if no one else knows you want to ask him out/win the lottery).

Wishes, in some cases, can be considered secrets. Although, your second example might not really be a "secret".. I'm sure no one would be shocked to learn that about you, and most people probably have the same wish.

But.. Something like "I wish I could see my English teacher naked" or "I wish my brother would admit to someone other than me that he stole my mom's necklace" etc. could definitely be wishes/secrets that would be posted.

Earlier this month Fraternity and Sorority Life here sponsored Frank Warren the founder of Postsecret to come and speak. I'd never read the site much before but it was wonderful and such a good decision. He broached a number of difficult topics like eating disorders, child abuse, and suicide with finesse and candor, and hardly anyone left without crying at least once. At the same time he was hilarious and engaging, and I learned so much from his presentation. Moral of the story: if you ever get the chance to see him TAKE IT!

I have read postsecret religiously since 2010. I am in love with the site. I always make postcards, but I never have the guts to send them in.
