Founding date according to Google

I came across something peculiar just now on Google...
I typed in www.thetaphialpha.org into my google search bar instead of my address bar on accident and the first result was in fact the National website but in the website description it said we were founded on November 16, 1912.....
Did I miss something

Yep. You can verify it on the history section of the national website. At my campus, one of the fraternities used to send us brownies and flowers every year on Nov. 16th, since April 30th was usually during finals and the fall semester didn't start until after August 30th.

I don't know how the content that appears below the site name in the search results on Google is determined, or who is responsible for it.

Ah, that makes more sense than what I WAS thinking! Thanks everyone for the clarification! Had I not been browsing on my phone I would have been able to dig around a little more in-depth but it's a little more difficult than searching on a computer!
