create own sorority....

So I was watching Sorority Wars on Lifetime On Demand and I got to thinking how cool I thought the name Kappa Theta Xi was (dorky I know).

I got to thinking about what others would name their own sorority, if they got to create one. I figured there are alot of creative people on this site and I thought this might be fun.

I say it can be as realistic or unrealistic as you want. This is for fun.

I feel like I'd only be taking bits and pieces I like from other groups! Although I do think blue and silver would make pretty colors...I really like black and silver, but those are Raider colors, and we won't go there!!!

Name (of your sorority): Pi Rho (my initials) or Kappa Alpha Chi (sounds snappy)
Nickname: Pyros or Chis
Founded (school and year if you want): Georgia Tech in the year they first admitted women (1952?)
Colors: Bright pink/magenta and gold or red and gold
Flower: Camellia or gardenia
Motto: Blank for now; all the best ones have been thought of already by the NPC groups!
Magazine name: Too lazy to think of one now
Philanthropy: So many to choose from! UNICEF or the Humane Society.
Badge: No idea, but definitely blinged out like all of the older NPC badges. Opals and pearls and jewels galore!
Mascot: Scottish herding dogs like the Shetland sheepdog, rough collie (Lassie), or border collie.

My best friend and I actually did this once in college. Our sorority's name was Nu Alpha Sigma (which came from "N and S," our initials). Our colors were red and green, the flower was a pointsettia (very Christmas-y).

We didn't have a motto or anything, but we made a collage of pix of us together and decorated it with red and green flowers. At the time, "R U the Girl with T-Boz and Chilli" was on, so our "hand sign" and "call" was Monkey Paw, which is something they did on the show. To this day, we still do that in pictures.

i tried to search for the thread we had before on "make your own org" because i totally remember doing this.

Anyway:
Name (of your sorority): Chi Delta (i really like two-letter names)
Nickname: don't know if they'd have a nickname, its already short.
Founded (school and year if you want): i would go with the 20s or maybe a little more recent like the 50s or 60s.
Colors: I like how gold and white look together. or navy and white.
Flower: Lilies
Motto: Be Distinct (i know, how original!)
Magazine name: Harbinger (this is actually my HS yearbook's name, which means "a sign of great things to come")
Philanthropy: childhood literacy (i do work in this field now and there's so much potential), or i choose a big organization i personally support, like Girl Scouts or Habitat.
Badge: don't know what it would look like, but i'd want to include two hands being held,
