Hey just chiming in to say I only had a recommendation to one chapter when I rushed at FSU and it wasn't for the chapter I got a bid for. I personally don't know anyone I rushed with who had recs but everyone still says they're important on here. I'd say they won't hurt but don't stress out about it too much.
