When the NFL and AFL merged, some teams were moved from NFL and split into AFC and NFC.

Pittsburgh and Cleveland were both original NFL and moved over. Wanted to balance the Conferences.

Now Another Trivia Question?

What is the original AFL teams with starting Helmet design that are the same today? 0 changes!

Good Luck!
Thank you for your answer list, Tom. From looking thru it, I'll guess the Miami Dolphins have had 0 helmet changes.

If memory serves (and from viewing many a Throwback Uniform game) here are a few old helmet designs:

Cincinnati helmets used to display their host city in printed capital letters like this CINCINNATI;
Patriot helmets had a colonial-dressed (think 1776) man in a three-corner hat ready to hike a football;
Bills had a plain, one-color sideview of a buffalo;
Broncos had a bucking horse within an orange letter 'D'.

This week's games: Panthers over Pack---Chiefs over Titans---Bills over Browns (sorry not sorry, Cleveland, you've had your chances)---Vikes over 'Boys---and a tie in the Bears/Lions game to keep things interesting.
