There are 8 available houses on the hill, 4 of which house sororities, the others are regular dorms. I'm sure one of these would be used to house the new sorority. I'd love to see Greek life grow at SHSU. It's a great school known for education and criminal justice and the communications school is named after Dan Rather because he went to SHSU for college. It's also a beautiful campus and a nice town to live in. You are about an hour and a half from Houston and an hour from where Texas A&M University is located in College Station, TX. Delta Zeta was present from 1959-1989, Kappa Delta was present from 1960-1995 and Chi Omega had a chapter present from 1965-1999.
I would love to see any of the old groups come back but I'd love to see A Phi and Gamma Phi there too--lots of alumnae in Houston!
