Depends on the private school. Some are *much* more religious than the average Public School, some *much* less. My Alma Mater (Carnegie-Mellon) paid more attention to the Robotics club than it did to Campus Ministry and had a Gay and Lesbian group with Student Government funding in the mid 1980s.
