I think your first priority is to get that straightened out. As you yourself wrote, "appeals are rarely approved". There's your answer right there, honestly. You can talk to the Greek Life Adviser all you want, but this is not in his/her area of influence. I was employed at a University. so I kinda sorta have a clue how discipline works, and how different departments function in the scheme of things. And one department doesn't step out of its area and mess in another department's actions.
Get your disciplinary status resolved. From what you wrote, you won't be out of the woods on that until the end of your junior year. So, all things considered, your prospects are pretty much not great at all. Sorry.
