It isn't unheard of for those with more extremist bents to moderate their views once on the bench. David Souter was a good example of that as, I think Roberts is turning out to be. So there's hope?

Agree with you about Chief Justice Roberts. Amy Coney Barrett may not immediatly meet the hope we have, but she's so young she will grow in her nationally-important job a lot better than Donald Trump grew into his.
