Me too!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I think it should just one of those interchangeable words with a dual meaning.. really, can we pick just one spelling??
But I always have trouble with "possession" (is that right??) I used to struggle with "independent" vs. "independant" all the time but I think I finally got it.
