Further update:
Since then, I've gone to Convention, our first EVER Volunteer Summit, and taken on an awesome Regional Volunteer position.
My alumnae life has been ridiculously awesome and I seriously can't imagine how my life would be if my chapter hadn't given me a chance on that day almost 8 years ago.
