Sigma Pi at WMU has been suspended after a woman fell from a balcony at their house and fractured her skull.
"There's several spots on the balcony. ... It appears (the balusters) may have been used for firewood."
The fraternity was issued a citation today for excessive noise, and some partygoers were cited for either minor in possession or underage drinking. The house, a rental, was condemned based on violations discovered today, Uridge said.
Among the violations: smoke detectors had been removed and some exterior electrical outlets had been destroyed.
