There was a lot of concern about Communism in the spring of 1955. The Crescent (Gamma Phi Beta) printed an article from J. Edgar Hoover entitled "The Communists Are After Our Minds" in the
May 1955 issue, while the
April 1955 issue of The Key (Kappa Kappa Gamma) contained a helpful list of groups determined by the Attorney General to be Communist fronts.
