It gave a real aura of diversity of choice but at the same time a real sense of unity (not sure why). Rarely was there really much discussion of who pledged harder. Again my personal experience only.

I like this. When I was an undergrad, my org. was the only LGLO on campus, so I did not get to experience events like coming out/probates, "Meet the Greeks," picnics, etc. There were just two Latino fraternities within reasonable driving distance at the time, and my own org. only had one other chapter in the region back then. However, the area and my old campus saw an "LGLO explosion" around 2002-2003 and LGLO life continues to thrive.
