It is always sad for any chapter to die out or close but it aches even more when it is your own chapter.
The good part of being part of a national organization is that you have the opportunity to still have sisterhood through alumnae involvement and perhaps volunteering. Many of those of us who volunteer withing my sorority come from closed chapters and are still able to have a rewarding experience helping other chapters succeed. I am able to look back with fondness to my own chapter experiences and know that I did my best to contribute to its success.
