Actually, I've been gifted by books in the past, and was just paying it forward.
I did finish
The Escape. It was wonderful, as expected. I need a quick trip to Half-Price Books to fill the need.
For those who say, why not use the library, the local library has such odd hours (compared to my even odder working hours) that I have paid more in fines than I would have done by buying at HPB. So it goes.
