I guess I want to know what the chances are of a member's disaffiliation being overturned by nationals????
And why one would want to try and come back to a chapter that voted them out????

In answer to your last question...to put it on their resume. To participate in alum activities. Because there was politics going on and the majority of the chapter doesn't think it was the right decision.
If the vote just went through today, it will most likely take A WHILE before HQ approves it and she is officially terminated. If she received her actual letter from HQ today, usually there's a certain amount of time given to appeal it. Whether support of actives or alums makes a dent depends on your GLO's policies.
Truthfully, it sounds like this girl got railroaded and deserves her membership back.
