Love that Black Friday ads are already being posted online.

So, I know I have a bachelor's degree....

But I have found this computer technology program at the local community college and I'm going to start classes in the summer. I recognized my love of computers while working my college job doing techie computer stuff all day, but was already too far into the education program to get out.

I love my job....don't get me wrong. But, I love the dang computers too.

Yay!

As crappy as things have been lately, I have a great deal for which I should be grateful.

Here's hoping this little wave of good luck I've been riding will keep up at least through Thursday.

I found an awesome plus-sized store today, very excited. Trying to switch up my wardrobe, as a lot of my clothes scream old, worn, and motherly.

I tried on 3 dresses and they fit and I liked them. This coming from a girl who doesn't really wear dresses. Then, I asked the opinion of one of the girls perusing the racks and she says "well, they're a little matronly..." Which is the total opposite of what I want, because well, I'm not matronly :(

Anyway, I'm too broke for new clothes so I walked away with nada. The store does offer yoga on tuesdays, so I'm gonna check that out soon.

I'm so nervous to find out if I get a position! I am like freaking out!

My current Facebook status: is officially overwhelmed. A test, a 20 pt lab doing something I've never even looked at before, three 15 minute lectures to listen to and take notes on, the table of contents for the 25 page case study final paper emailed to the prof, and 250 pages of reading, and the usual discussion board posts totalling 1150 words by next Monday? Really? Seriously??? Let's throw in 40 hours of work too.

I forgot to mention PARENTING in there. OMG I don't know if I can survive five years of this. What makes me think I can do grad school?

Five Years? Going for a Doctorate?

Because you can, AGDee, and you've probably already done 5 years of worse in your lifetime. Hang in there. :)

Wow. So this chick on YT put up a vid of Dreamgirls clips and the descrip said "Beyonce portraying Diana Ross." A bunch of people corrected her, saying that role was influence by Diana, but that wasn't the actual character. She insisted that the character was molded on Diana, which made it the same thing and that anyone who disagreed was being overly anal. I said, "No, it's just the truth. Even if Deena was based on Diana, they still aren't the same." Soooo she called me a retard and a troll, erased my comment AND blocked me. Worst of it? If that's her birth year in her SN, then she's almost 40.

I made a really nummy dinner, and my family kind of embarrassed me after complimenting me so much. I made mashed potatoes, broccoli, and Dijon chicken (breaded with mustard sauce under the crumbs). It was pretty good!

I'm kinda sad the rejectment thread got locked... can't say I'm too surprised though.

This semester has been rough and to top it off, within the past week I've had several exams and projects come due and I'm fighting off the beginnings of a cold. Ugh. I just want to grab my cats and sleep for a year.
