Precious was--oh man. Woooo! The casting was dead on. Paula Patton was a bit replaceable to me, but Mariah and Monique went in! Title character was solid too.

I'm smelling Oscar for Monique-she was so raw. I held my breath a few times at some of her scenes. The director, Lee Daniels, hats off to him.

If you DO see it, buy your tix early and show up to the theater at least a half before to get good seats.

How did Akron get the name Zips anyhow? Not dissing on it because I have no grounds to rip team names myself, but it just seems...unconventional.

Some people can be total assholes, that's why working the drive thru window sucks like hell. I hate working here period, plus I'm the oldest person working here and it sucks.

I'm so nosey. I had to take Xanthus off of ignore just to see what this was all about.

As usual, the same old Xanthus mumbo, jumbo.:rolleyes: I swear, I would be surprised if he even had two brain cells to rub together. Back on ignore he goes.

Oh, anywho, I almost forgot to post what I felt like saying right now. Junior surgery is getting closer and I'm getting more nervous by the moment. I just wanna get it done and over with already. Tuesday just can't get here fast enough.

They had a school wide contest to choose a name. We were originally the zippers because it was invented in Akron (or at least a version of it was, I don't remember this early in the morning :p). It got shortened to Zips in 1950. Our mascot, Zippy the kangaroo was decided in 1953 :) Our mascot, Zippy, is a female btw and you can tell because she has a pouch. She also won mascot of the year last year.

Lol back when I thought I was an A+, I always said "A plus" :)


ETA: I'm so torn. Usually, I'd be really excited that Stanford won, but my loyalties have changed. :o
