Problem not solved. Just because your hands are on the steering wheel doesn't mean your focus is on the road. Just put the damn phone down.

Yep.

I know that it's perfectly legal in the "no cell phone while driving" areas to use Bluetooth, but even when peeps are using that, I STILL don't think they're paying attention to the road.

I see people swerve all over the road, then I pull up next to them and they are yakking away on the Bluetooth.

There shouls also be a "no iPhone-ing while driving" rule or a "no messing with your GPS" while driving.

People drive me nuts creeping down the road and driving weirdly because they are too busy pushing GPS buttons to drive.

If you are too lost to drive in a straight line and leave the GPS alone, please pull over and get out of my way.

Interesting. You would think using bluetooth would be no different then chatting with somebody in the car.

"There are ants all over my room, you have to get them out and then clean my room! But, you have to use those, like, trap thingies. You CANNOT spray any type of spray in my room. I'm allergic to aerosols and strong smells so you can't use any bleach or, like, bug spray anywhere near me or I'll go into an anaphalactic coma attack."

Um, yeah. I don't feel like dealing with pushy, fanatic, melodramatic patients today. I hope she's been discharged because I'm a counselor, not freaking Florence.

Exactly! I agree. I don't know why people feel they HAVE to use their cell phones. If it isn't an emergency, put it away! What were they doing when there were no cell phones? They were doing just fine. I also think they need to start telling people that cell phones are to be kept in the car at movie theaters. I remember one time I was sitting next to a girl who was just texting away in the theater. It was SO annoying. Put it away! Do you have to text every second of the day? Seriously? Two things I am SO sick of. Cell phones and vampires. Dracula has been around for ages, why all the stupid vampire fads. I mean, it's like they just popped up out of nowhere

sorry to rant.

I don't know all the details. All I know is on Friday, two guys came back from lunch drunk. I heard they were let go today. I pretty much try to stay out of the conversations folks have about other people at work, especially if someone gets let go for whatever reason.

cheerfulgreek 10-14-2009 10:40 PM

^^^I'm not laughing at them losing their jobs, I'm just trying to figure out why they would do this, and how people knew they had too much to drink. Was it in your department?

I don't know, I guess they could smell it on their breath. Who knows? But it wasn't in my department. I guess what gets me is there are all kinds of folks out of a job here, and they pull this.
