We had a lake effect snow warning. In April! I know we get snow in April every year but every year it surprises me lol. I like snow more than the average person but if the snow birds have come home from Florida then it's time for the snow to be done. On the other hand, I hate summer so I'm not really anxious to bring on the heat and humidity. But really, the roads were terrible around 11!

That's when they're the best when you haven't had one in a while.

To my bestfriend, who sometimes (like today) I feel like making my ex bestfriend. I got off the phone with you, because you were giving me stupid one word answers to my questions. After a ton of one worders, I finally asked you...other than that, how is everything else going? and you responded... "could be better could be worse". Whatever!!! I have so many great things going on in my life right now, and I'm not going to let you ruin them by hearing your sob attitude!!!

You're done decorating your apartment?

Well winter is officially over since the newspaper is announcing construction season! Now I get to enjoy one lane freeways instead of snow covered freeways  *sigh* the four seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and construction...

Why don't you just call me instead of flirting on Myspace!!! Seriously!!!

christiangirl 04-07-2009 11:10 PM

^^^at this point, I'd take a Myspace flirt.

All this talk about dogs makes me miss my lab. She was my princess a la "Marley and Me." ;)

Alpha Gamma Delta, is that AGR (Alpha Gamma Rho) for girls? Yes, we're the daughters of agriculture, ha. That kills me.

This semester can't end soon enough. And the cold weather makes it seem longer. It just seems weird, because Monday, I went to see a classmate and friend of mine. I remember her when she was a student like me, and now I have one of her cards. It says (her first name) F. Lunn. DVM. I keep it because whenever I get discouraged, I look at her card. I can't wait to be able to see my own card that reads
L E S, DVM, Ph.D, DACVIM...:p

there's got to be something shorter than "CONCACAF."

I agree with some of this, but you said it's based on the dog's temperament but not necessarily the breed. Its temperament is basically the personality of the breed of dog, so yes it is based on the breed of dog as well. Some dogs are genetically more aggressive than others. I hear the same thing from dog owners whenever I go to work. A lot of people don't want to believe that there are some breeds, like "pit bulls" and Rotties that are more aggressive by nature. Usually they've known or owned individual Rotties or pits who were good natured dogs, so automatically they conclude that when a dog shows aggression the problem is the owner, not the dog, and this is not always true. You also have to understand that not all aggressive dog behavior patterns are the same, which in some cases have nothing at all to do with the owner, or how the dog was raised. Sometimes it's based on the breed of dog/temperament alone.

Chow Chows are SO adorable. Especially the puppies.:)

You contradicted yourself on so many levels. You told me that pit bulls and Rottweilers can make good family dogs, but yet at the same time you said that some dogs are naturally more aggressive than other dogs, which is exactly why I said I wouldn't have neither one as a family pet. You also said that large dogs have a bad reputation because their bites cause more damage. So again. I wouldn't own an aggressive large dog (such as a pit bull or rottweiler) who are capable of doing serious to fatal damage to a kid or an adult for that matter. A Yorkie or a Boston Terrier would work fine for me.

I agree, that chow dog doesn't look like an aggressive dog, but at the same time I wouldn't have one as a family pet. They look like they would be too hard to take care of.

btw: Pit bulls are the ugliest damn dogs I've ever seen. Those and that dog in the movie "Friday", whatever those are called.
