Went over my daily allotted calories for the first time since I started trying to watch what I eat. Gotta be more careful tomorrow. On the plus side since starting this and quitting soda I've lost 7 lbs.

My sister in law's mother was diagnosed with a mild cancer a few months ago and thought that it was cured but recently another more aggressive type was found. She didn't want chemo.

She was moved to a hospice this morning. My niece is flying up from Tampa late tomorrow and fly back Sunday morning.

My sil thinks that her mom is waiting to see Kelly before she passes on. That is what happened when sil's dad died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. He died the next day.

It was the situation that was so absurd and caused my reaction. Were people seriously having a heated discussion about Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and thought I would be the final word to prove them right or wrong? That just blew my mind because I got flack for Greek membership, attending church, and not being into nerdy stuff other than random Monty Python quotes so asking my input was just strange. Yes, I'm definitely an authority on wizards and stuff, except not. I did have serious conversation about what creatures could mate with others and produce viable offspring in Lord of the Rings, but that was based on the knowledge of someone else.

I heart GC so much. The siggies lately have been awesomesauce.

It's official, the 2010 Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes have made the biggest turnaround in the history of Georgia High School Football. 0-10 in 2009 to 9-1 in 2010. Great job Canes!!!

Just got back from Stanford where I saw Alpha Phi's extension presentation (Delta Gamma was yesterday). Being surrounded by such amazing women who care so much about their sorority makes me wish I could be on the extension committee for Kappa. I would love to share the KKG love!

Now, don't get me wrong, because I usually love Denzel, but "Unstoppable" looks like it might be the wrost high budget movie of the year.

I was talking to my dad on the phone shortly before I left from teaching tonight. So, I didn't get a chance to stay on the phone with him as long as I would have liked to, but he made me laugh.:D

Dad: Did you see "Why did I get married too"?
Me: No
Dad: Do you want it? I own it.
Me: No thanks. I don't get into those kinds of movies, dad.
Dad: I bought it because I thought I would add it to my movie collection. Your mother and I got 45 minutes into the movie, and I had to turn that shit off.

Me: LOL what did mom say?
Dad: She didn't know what the hell those crazy folks were talking about. There was this crazy azz woman who was getting on both of our nerves, so we had enough and watched something else.
