What I feel like saying:

Unanimous voting, anyone? If you post not-so-nice things about your sorority on facebook while you're still a pledge sister, we see it. Just so you know.....
Oh, and the pictures, yeah....that's a no no too.

I would post this in the weird dream thread, but I feel like it would be overlooked, and I think it's a funny dream...

Alright, I'm spending way too much time on Greek Chat. I had a dream that I was going through recruitment (at a different school, not even mine lol) and when I was going through, we didn't even know the names of the sororities, they were code names like in recruitment stories! There were six houses and I got cut from my first two favorites. Then I fell in love with another two, and I ended up preffing them. I was really torn then just kind of randomly picked one. I got my bid and it was to Phi Mu, and I was really excited. So I go to bid day but then I start freaking out that I made the wrong decision, and I desperately want to know the real name of the other chapter I preffed, but I could not find out. I came to find out the names of three others (which were Theta, Sigma Kappa, and Pi Phi), but I could not find out which was the other houses that I preffed at.

Then also, there was a girl who got a bid to Phi Mu that I knew. She was a family friends daughter. She was like sitting in the corner, pouting because she thought she was too good for the house and wanted to drop. I tried the old "give it a chance" speech that we've heard time and time again here on GC.

Oh, and my current roommate rushed with me too, and she got a bid but would NOT look at it. I can't remember if she didn't want to know the "real" name or if she just didn't want to know at all, lol, but she let me look, and she got a bid to Pi Phi, which is her sorority, IRL.

Wow. You'd think the whole "he could send it to the whole school" thing is common sense...

There's no such thing as common sense/humans have the tendency to override common sense.

If there was, we wouldn't have to tell adults to stop messing with their phones so they can watch the road. We wouldn't have to tell adults not to save or send nude photos where they can be seen by others. We wouldn't have to tell adults to not go jogging at night because they run the risk of being victimized. The list goes on.

Yeah...no wonder teens are mimicking the screwed-upness that adults have been displaying.

VH1 had a show on the "new virginity":

I am really bothered by the concept of chastity balls and the general concept of girls pledging their virginity to God and their fathers--with the future of giving it to their husbands. That just stinks of patriarchal social order and all that other cringe-worthy stuff. How gross is it to pledge anything sexual to your father and pretend as though your father "owns you" and can "give you" to your husband.

On a good note, I'm glad that the Jonas Brothers' chastity has received a lot of attention and their balls haven't been figuratively cut off by most of the media because of it.

With that said, families should be able to teach their daughters and sons the pros of abstinence without relegating the kids to social misfits and the daughters to "daddy's little virgins."

What??? When did that happen?

That is disgusting. Not chastity balls, or even deciding to remain abstinent, but the whole father/sexual thing. Ewww.

I wish more people would just educate their kids on all the facts and let them make their own decisions instead of twisting their arms into making promises like that.

My pastor when I was in HS tried to have this conversation with me and creeped me out so badly that I stopped going to church until after he had moved on to another congregation. Definitely not something you should bring up with your parishoners, but should let them bring it up with you. Especially when you're a middle aged man and a creepy creeperton. That's a parent's job - not yours.

Ugh thinking about it is giving me the willies.

Umm, sounds like you've got Niagara Falls on your mind. I just love the way you spelled Viagra.:p

I'm taking an early lunch today. I'm exhausted. Exhausted to the point that I wouldn't mind taking all 3 of my 3 week block vacations right now, and I'm only in my second 3 week rotation. Ughh. The pain, the agony, Calgon take me away! :(

I am wondering if the CW is hiring? I mean, I am a classy, educated, professional woman by day, but turn into a drunken tramp at night and that just seems like such a good outlet to share my story! I can think of no better way to honor my family than to air that sort of dirt.

please, please, please make the spam stop. ugh!

you are such an idiot. Seriously. If you think your ideas would ever work you're in for a rude awakening. And I hate talking about it with you because you just do the "you just don't understand" thing. You irritate the hell out of me.

I love emoticons. Especially the one with the "I'm in shock look" I laugh so hard every time. And some of the recruitment stories I read are hilarious, especially when Tippie used to respond to some of them.

YAY! for NCIS marathon. My favorite episode happens to be on. Unfortunately my favorite is also one of the saddest. It's about a WWII medal of honor recipient suffering from PTSD who swears he killed his best friend on Iwo Jima.

What I feel like saying right now, is why is it SO cold outside? I love it when it's sunny, but not this cold. That's kind of a teaser.
