Have you ever watched someone get a really good hug--the kind where they just get held and someone nuzzles them and rubs their back and gives them a world of comfort? The kind of hug that says, "I'm totally here for you?" Well, I just watched that and it feels a bit like the feeling you get when you watch someone eat while you're hungry. It's been a really long time since I've had one of those from anybody, friend or otherwise.

That was such a dumb plot twist.

"I don't wanna be type casted as Steve Urkel for the rest of my career--please allow me to be a smoooooooth acting dork lookin' dude." Fast forward and guess who Jaleel White is still thought of as...Steve Urkel. FAIL. :p

Thanks :) IDK how I was born into a family of such terrible huggers. They all do the church hug--that one-arm, pat you on the shoulder deal. It's so sad, I realized that everyone who gave the best hugs aren't in my life anymore. Probably the last really good hug I had was when I got home and that was the I-haven't-seen-my-child-in-6-months hug.

I had a really good hug at my Soror's babyshower a few weeks ago. :) I hadn't seen some of the attendees since undergrad (11 years). It was really loving and fun. :)

Lol. Mostly tongue-in-cheek, though I have met several, how can I say this, less than impressive fellas recently that have shared that in common. It is such a weird location for a zero in a phone number anyway, I am starting to wonder if maybe I shouldn't take it as a sign.

There was a guy on the dance floor who danced with every single woman on the dance floor. He would just come up to someone and dance with them for a little bit and move on. It was all fast dancing. I thought it was no big deal. Some of the women I was with thought he was awful "How can he dance with all these women?" "He had no respect for people's personal space". From what I observed, he would dance up to someone.. if they responded positively, then he would dance with them longer and maybe get a little physical.. like grabbing her hand and twirling her around. If not, he just kind of danced on to the next one. I thought it was great that he was so confident and having fun. He was a good looking guy. It's not like he was taking everybody home, he was JUST dancing. C'mon ladies, relax already! It's dancing, not sex! He sure had more fun than the guys who stood along the side of the dance floor drinking their beers and probably wishing they could meet someone.

Men should know: learn how to dance and learn how to dance well. That's what the women are doing and that's how you meet them. Dance up to one. You never know what will happen.

This is so true. Actually, I don't even care if the guy dances well, just that he participates. Guys that stand around the outskirts of the dance floor and stare at the women dancing are creepy and sleazy.

I recommend keeping it completely tongue-in-cheek. :)

I CANNOT believe that after I told him I don't fool around with men outside of a relationship--HE STILL THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO COME TO MY HOUSE ON SATURDAY & GET BUSY.

After I sent him a text & told him, "Thanks, but no, I'd just like to hang out." No response. Then, a FB message saying that PG isn't his style so I'll need to revise my offer.

How about...........NO. You are not my boyfriend & I will not be getting busy with you anytime soon.
