Georgia Tech Phi Delt found alive after missing 2 days
Very glad James Hubert was found alive. He is the VP of the Georgia Tech Phi Delta Theta chapter.

I saw that. After reading the articles I still wasn't sure what happened. Was he assaulted?
|
From the article:
Atlanta police Lt. Charles Hampton described Hubert's injuries as minor, adding that he was "not sure where those injuries came from." While investigators did not find evidence of foul play, Hubert has not been coherent enough to tell detectives what happened, Hampton said. So, to answer your question, Jolene, that information hasn't been determined or released. |
The injuries definitely don't look minor. He's been missing since late Friday night, and they found him bruised, bloodied and in a ditch by the train tracks a good ways from where he was last seen. He was found close to the Georgia State campus I believe. He's expected to be okay. Thank goodness, because it could have turned out much worse. A very scary situation indeed.

The pictures made it look like serious injuries. He was a Ga. Tech student but if he was found near Ga.State, was attending a GSU function? It was never unheard of for Greeks from either campus to attend each other's events.

update:
http://news.yahoo.com/police-probe-h...124727043.html fyi - MARTA is the subway in Atlanta (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority). |
...he was set upon by a gang of homeless people?
Is this a thing? My money is on drug deal gone wrong or he blacked out and fell. |
That's weird. I also saw this posted on r/GreekLife. Is this the same fraternity/school?
|
AML, It is the same chapter.
|
There were no drugs involved. Unfortunately major metropolitan cities aren't the safest, especially at 1am.
The issue with the chapter is alleged. They were suspended but there is a petition for further investigation, as there is campus video supporting the claim that it never happened. |
Smooth move, 007.
|
I knew it! Obviously not something that dumb, because who would have thought?
But, yeah! Blame roving packs of homeless men on MARTA. |
Someone took 'Divergent' a little too seriously. Must've thought he was a Dauntless.
(For those who don't know, their schtick is that they jump on moving trains) But in all seriousness, what a dumb choice. |
