Mass Texting Service??

I need to find a FREE mass texting service for my local Relay For Life and just from doing a Google search I can't tell what is good and what isn't.
Anyone have any recommendations from using it in your chapter? I would need to send 1-3 messages/month to approx 30-40 people, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Still looking for suggestions if anyone's got them. I tried WeTxt but it said my phone number wasn't supported so I guess it's out.

My pledge class uses GroupMe!

I can also recommend GroupMe, but everyone has to download an app- are you looking for something that just plain old sends a text message to a lot of people at once?

justgo_withit, everyone does not have to download an app. I use it to communicate with my pledge class and I don't have the app on my phone.

Well your pledge class is clearly smarter than mine, we couldn't figure out how to make it do that! :) it's a bit late for us now though...and everyone's just addicted to snapchat anyway.

Thank you both! I will check into GroupMe. I definitely want to keep it plain-old-text because some of the people they're going to probably don't have smartphones or know what an app is. Most of the committee and team captains are older women who probably wouldn't even know how to respond to a text! lol The primary function would be "hey dont forget our meeting this saturday at 6pm!"
