Drinking & Social Capital Study
 

An interesting survey about the social capital building benefits of drinking was released recently. Here is a link to the executive summary: http://www.reason.org/news/alcohol_use_091406.shtml.

Obviously, this won't be at the forefront of any greek organization's public relations campaign, but it does confirm what many of us have known from our own experiences - that social drinking (a component of greek life) can provide important life skills and networking opportunities.

Everything in moderation! Let's remember that the next time some campus decides that prohibition is a cure-all.
