At the request of some,and I do tend to agree, I've edited out names. So I'll open back up the thread. If you are new, please post here!! I noticed we don't have an offical introduction thread. So, I stole this lil bit from the ASA board, this way we can get to know who is actually on the board, where they are from, and what not. I'll start first, naturally :) Status (New Memeber, Acitve, Alumna): Alumna Chapter: Gamma Omega Something Unique about your Chapter: Our local sorority was named Alpha Theta Phi Offices You Hold/Held: Panhellenic delegate Favorite Memory: I think when we actually found out we could become a national. We had worked so hard to get a fifth sorority on campus, and after we had finally given up hope and the school let us become local, Panhel delegates came to our meeting to announce that they voted us to become national (even without us petetioning). |

Im active. My chapter is Phi Phi. As of right now im assistant treasurer but we're about to do slating so who knows what i'll be next semester. All my memories are great! I love everyone and my sisters are awesome. |

Chapter: Delta Rho (Univ. of Kentucky) Office: none as of now, but still very involved! Something Unique about your Chapter: Oh gosh, that's hard to say! I'm not sure about historical facts that are unique, but for our philanthropy event we hold "Frats at Bat," a baseball tournament for the boys that everyone on campus attends! We're definitely one of the TOP sororities at UK, and I'm proud to wear those Deltas!! Favorite Memory: Greek Sing was one of my favorite memories... we put so much time and effort into our dance routine and costumes, and it was such a thrill to be on stage with all of my sisters in front of thousands of people!! Obviously we all love it and stick with it all 4 years! Also, the set designer for the Dukes of Hazzard movie got the "sorority house" ideas from our house! Favorite Memory: The random scavenger hunt with the 1st floor girls vs the 2nd floor girls! So fun! |

I'm a NYC alum and just joined GreeKChat. Our alumnae chapter meets rather infrequently, and most of the members are right out of school, so it would be fun to connect to some alums around the country who are a little beyond that!
Status: Alumna, Life Loyal Chapter: Delta Pi (University of Illinois) Favorite Memory: I think my initiation ceremony was the most wonderful moment! (I transfered to Pratt Institute—non-Greek—in NYC my junior year to pursue my fashion career, so I really lost touch with my sisters after that.) I'd love to hear from other alums about what sort of contributions they have made to Tri Delta and their communities—fundraisers, innovative programs, ideas to build membership, etc. I've just joined the NYC Alumnae Panhellenic, too—and it's interesting to see how any competitiveness we might have felt towards other sororities is long gone! |

Because we were on the quarter system at the time and I was President for a year and a half, I think I presided over four (?) initiations. I also took the ritual book home over the summer and memorized the entire thing so I wouldn't have my head buried in the book! I loved initiation! |

Offices You Hold/Held: Currently I'm a member of the Philanthropy Committee. We're not holding elections until after we go through recruitment in about 3 weeks. Favorite Memory: The fact that 48 hours after our bid day we managed to put together 3 teams for Lambda Chi Alpha's philanthropy event and then one of our teams won the event. We followed that up a week later with another team turnout and win for Kappa Alpha Theta's event. I think we suprised even ourselves with those successes so early on. AOL IM: Starlitdancer04 |

Offices You Hold/Held: I am currently the social events chair Favorite Memory: One of my favorite memories is when Tri-Delts from Canada came to visit for our invitation party and starting yelling TriDelt songs outside of DU. It was really entertaining because at my school songs and cheering is not common at all, but we learned a lot of great songs and had so much fun with those girls!! AOL IM: xxjax23 |
