"Liking" an NPHC Sorority page on Facebook...

So I will be starting college in fall and am interested in joining an NPHC sorority. They all have facebook pages and I was wondering if "liking" their page seems desperate per se. I know that is one of the big things, not to appear desperate or annoying when trying to make an impression. My intentions are just to stay updated on events so that when they come up I can show my interest in the organization and make a more informed decision in what I witness first hand, versus "he-say, she-say". Sorry, if this seems long, but thanks for the help!

Also, I know that I have to have at least 12 credits before I can go through the new member process. I just want to start early so I know exactly where I want to be when the time comes. :)

When in doubt, don't.

If there are events that would be good for prospective rushees to attend, you will be able to find out about them through other avenues besides Facebook.

Okay thank you!

Also, if it's really about staying abreast of their event updates, you don't necessarily have to "like" the page in order to view it, ... especially if it's an open Facebook group page. ;)
