Where would you like to see your organization?

Take note this is mainly a fun speculation thread.

Alright since a lot of us are at home right now I was thinking about places that either don't have chapters of specific orgs or had one that is no longer there. So I have a few questions:

Where would you like to see your organization in the future or recolonize?

Where would you like to see another organization expand potentially?

So for Tri Delta I would like to see (bold means they had a chapter):

Columbia University
Indiana University
UCLA
University of Arizona
Arizona State University
UC- Santa Barbara
Princeton
Penn State

U Conn
Any of the SUNY's or CUNYs (surprisingly none have ever had a chapter!)
NYU

Other Orgs

Alpha Xi Delta (Bama)
Phi Mu (UCLA,NYU,USC,Clemson)
Alpha Delta Pi- Anywhere in NY. A little known fact is that we only have 1 active undergrad chapter of ADPi in the whole state!
The NPC orgs that were once at the CUNY schools

We would love to have Alpha Xi back at Bama!!!! Have begged one of their council members who is a long time friend to please do it.....

Never give out hope! So recently at my school they brought back a chapter that was gone since 1971 and came back in 2018!
(This is my speculation not real info)
They may want to see how SK fares first and maybe if the PNM sign up still goes up to maybe have another expansion.

I want to see Alpha Sigma Tau colonize at Penn State (main campus)! Ironically, we're the only NPC that's never had a chapter there, and yet about a quarter of our chapters are in the state of PA, and we have a chapter at Penn State Behrend (my alma mater) and Penn State Altoona. And if you add up all the PA chapters plus the chapters in states that touch or come very close to touching PA (NY, NJ, DE, MD, WV, OH), we have 39 chapters. They're all surrounding Penn State!

We have a total of 85 chapters, located mostly in the eastern US, with our heaviest presence in the northeast. I'd simply like to see us expand more to the west. We have a handful of chapters sitting on or just west of the Mississippi River (in MN, IA, AR, LA), but otherwise, we only have three chapters in TX, two in OK, one in AZ, and one in CA.

Gamma Phi Betas - Alpha Zeta at the University of Texas - I know so many terrific Alpha Zeta sisters who would be over the moon (!) were we to return.

Ooh, I love this. I find it so fun and I love looking through the chapter lists.

For K∆, I'd love to see us back at some large schools, some small schools, and schools near me. I do have a couple schools I'd like to be new at as well.

University of Wisconsin
University of Minnesota
Ohio Wesleyan University
University of Pennsylvania
University of California
University of Southern California
University of Oklahoma
West Virginia University
Bethany College
Lawrence University

Missouri State University
Truman State University
Georgia Tech

For other orgs, I'm so partial to small schools or schools where there's only two, one, or no chapters. I'd love to see greek life come back to them or be stronger. And also single letter chapters.

Hunter College, NY
Idaho State University
Illinois Institute of Technology
Loras College
Morningside College
AXiD at UK, Pi
Lake Superior State University

If I could have it my way most chapters of every org would be open and thriving!

For Alpha Phi, I'd love to see us return to the following schools:

Texas A&M University
University of Kansas
Bucknell University
Emory University
Texas Christian University

I'd love to see Alpha Phi colonize at the following schools:

University of South Carolina
University of Tennessee
Vanderbilt University
University of Central Florida
Kansas State University
University of Massachusetts
Princeton University
Rutgers University
Oklahoma State University
Tulane University

Thanks!

Our goal is to get all of our single letter chapters active. Our pending single letter chapters are:

Alpha: Miami University (returning 2021-22)
Eta: Muhenberg (recolonization pushed back to 2021)
Sigma: Syracuse (not sure we are allowed to return since the undergrads burned the chapter house down for the insurance $$$ back in the 1980's)

Otherwise, I would like to see chapters in "regions" where few or no chapters exist: Central/South Florida, Heartland area and New England.

For Gamma Phi I'd love to see us bring back the following chapters:

Stanford
Vanderbilt
Univ. Tennessee
Arizona State
Oregon State

I'd like us to colonize at:
Arkansas
North Carolina
Princeton

Would love to see Tri Delta at Hofstra, LIU Post, or St. John’s.

The majority of single letter chapters for Alpha Delta Pi are where the Greek Life program is no longer permitted, except:

Lawrence University
Randolph-Macon College

Personally, I'd like to see colonies at the following:

SMU
Ohio State
West Virginia University
William & Mary

Places I would love for ZTA to re-colonize:

Iota (1905-?): University of Richmond, Richmond, VA
Xi (1910-1961): University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA
Rho (1912-1968): Boston University, Boston, MA
Tau (1912-1995): Millikin University, Decatur, IL
Chi (1915-1965): University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA
Omega (1916-1994): Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX
Alpha Delta (1920-1956): Butler University, Indianapolis, IN
Alpha Epsilon (1921-1934): University of Denver, Denver, CO
Alpha Kappa (1921-1994): University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, IL
Alpha Chi (1924-1992): University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky

Theta Epsilon (1979-1994): University of San Diego, San Diego, CA
Theta Upsilon(1979-1983): Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA

Places I would like us to colonize:
University of West Florida
Loyola Marymount
University of Southern Mississippi
Stanford

From the standpoint of Geography, I'd like to see Alpha Phi Omega return to Utah/Southern Idaho. Preferably starting at University of Utah rather than Brigham Young University (which we've had a chapter at, but I'd like to see at the State school rather than trying to get at the Y with no other chapters w/i 300 miles.) Similarly a return to University of Hawaii.

Sister Havana 05-02-2020 04:38 PM

I would love to see Alpha Phi Omega at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

LifesLemons 05-02-2020 05:58 PM

Not my org but...

I'd love for ZTA to recolonize at my school, but other groups that I think would be cool to have are DPhiE, Tri Sigma, and Phi Sig.

Not NPC, but I've always wondered what these groups would be like if they came to my campus: SAI, KBG, and OPA.
