Think like a Man

It was funny. A little corny in places and there were a few jokes that bombed out but overall a good laugh with plenty of feel good moments and I enjoyed all the cameos. I'll reserve other comments for when the discussion starts rolling.
When one of the couples got back together, I heard sniffling next to me. The dude in the black tank, sideways cap, and gold chains sitting a few seats over? Boohoo-ing like we were watching The freakin' Notebook. I had to shove my fist in my mouth to keep from making noise because I cracked up. |
I liked it because it had so many Black actors and some cameos (you all know who those were :)). It reminded me of some of the Black men and women in my life. I saw one of the handsome cameos and said "he acts JUST LIKE so-and-so."
Kevin Hart was the only funny thing about the movie. He did a good job carrying the comic relief. Some of the movie's jokes fell short but it was funny overall because Kevin Hart is funny. The movie isn't a comedy so I did not expect it to be too funny. I still say it was kind of like a Black folks version of He's Just Not That Into You. Steve Harvey should not be taken seriously for relationship advice but 99% of people should not be taken seriously for relationship advice. Coleman Love to Steve Harvey and Terrence J. Good job overall, Bruhs. |
I saw TKAM last night. Minus Kevin Hart swearing every other joke, it was a nice little, feel good movie. All the celebrity "cameos" got to be a bit distracting at times, but the movie made me laugh, at points, out loud. Jennifer Lewis is still holdin' it down. :)
