TRANSFER TO UF, RUSHING?
 

Basically im transferring from a local college to UF in the fall of 2013, and im stoked. One of the things im really looking forward to is getting involved with different organizations and being active in the school. One thing im considering joining is a fraternity. My question is what are the chances of getting a bid as a transfer? And do they really dominate the social scene or is that just bs?

There are certain fraternities that might not accept a transfer as readily as other fraternities, but you can get a bid to a fraternity if you keep your options open. You will have more organized group social opportunities as a fraternity member, but you can have an active, fun-filled social life as a non-fraternity member.
