Happy Valentine's Day!

. . .

In the evening, when we're sitting
By the fire perchance alone,
Then shall heart with warm heart meeting,
Give responsive tone for tone.

We can burst the bonds which chain us,
Which cold human hands have wrought,
And where none shall dare restrain us
We can meet again, in thought.

. . .

From " Parting" by Charlotte Brontë (1816-1855)

^ Lovely!

We're celebrating over the weekend, as we've been crazy busy, but we did notice that all of our cards seem to be on the theme of "no matter what happens, no matter what was in the part, we're in this together."

Thought I'd mention that for those who usually bail when things get tough.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

I hope everyone had a nice St. Valentine's Day!

Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day to all! As the Beatles so famously penned: “All You Need Is Love”.....and I’d like to add: a steady income and some good friends, too!

I had to confirm that the Bronte poem was about death. It's still quite lovely, isn't it. Certainly a different view of that great, eternal parting.

A lot of them are. Hard to find one that is not. Was hoping no one would notice. I sometimes get the impression that people were dying all around them.
