Hunting Grounds
This documentary now on Netflix deals with rape on college campuses and the conspiracy to cover it up. News stories about rape are bad for business at universities because they risk losing federal funding due to Title IX violations.
A Delta Zeta speaks about reporting Jameis Winston (now NFL QB) for assulting her. The women all said that their schools didn't take their claims seriously, particularly not when the defendant played football or basketball. Professors who spoke up against the status quo were retaliated against by being dismissed. Fraternities were mentioned, but many of the cases involved student athletes. Thoughts? |
This is happening way to often in schools all across the country! These problems should be dealt with like it is a real crime and not just a small thing. Women are being violated and totally wrong!

This is nothing new. A sorority sister of mine was date raped by a football player when I was in school, and when she tried to press charges, the school's athletic department completely closed ranks against her. She ended up dropping out of school.

Heck, look at the apologizing that's taken place following the Larry Nassar case. A woman put in a complaint in 2004 and her case was swept to the side. There are so many young women who later became victims, and it potentially could have been prevented. http://abcnews.go.com/US/police-mich...ry?id=52759830 |
This was our reality. Before the 90's, it was legal for a husband to rape his wife.
