Recruitment Themes/TShirt Slogans

Hi y'all:

When you get a minute, can you post some of the Kappa Recruitment Themes/Recruitment TShirt Slogans your chapter has used in the past?

These can be Panhellenic Slogans, or (preferably) individual chapter slogans.

We're trying to pull together ideas to put in the Recruitment Resources packet for Convention, so any and all ideas welcome! (And if you're not a Kappa but you're reading this post, I'd love to hear your ideas, too...so long as they can be adapted for use by a Kappa chapter--i.e., they aren't "specific" to your mascot, letters, colors, nickname, etc.).

Thanks so much! Looking forward to your replies.

Whoa! Keep those ideas coming (not sure why everyone is sending me ideas via PM, but that works)!

Just thought I would post the list that is taking shape from all of the ideas I've either pulled from my chapters, or that people have sent me in response to this thread:

* What can BLUE do for you? (play on the UPS slogan.)
* Kappa & Co. 1870 (play on the Tiffany & Co. logo.)
* If the key fits, wear it! (Zeta Alpha/Babson College)
* Kamp Kappa (Beta Chi/U. of Kentucky.)
* J’Adore Kappa (play on the fashionista Tshirts that say “J’adore dior.” (The U. of Toronto Chapter has these—adorable!!)
* Kappacino (Delta Chapter/Indiana U.)
* Kappa Kabana (70’s/Disco Theme. Delta Chapter/Indiana U.)
* Would the Blue and Blue Look Good On You? (Epsilon Kappa chapter/U. of South Carolina)
* On the road of life, there are friends and there are sisters. Sisters wanted. (play on the Volkswagon slogan/logo.)
* We may stand out, but we never stand alone.
* Always Kappa Gamma (play on the Coca Cola slogan/logo).
* Kappa: The Real Thing (another play on the Coke slogan).
* Destination KKG (designed like an interstate sign—shield shaped, blue on the bottom and red on the top. “Destination” in the red part, and “KKG” in the blue part.)
* We came expecting, we left remembering. We came empty, we left fulfilled. We came as many, we left as one. We came as strangers, we left as friends. We came with nothing, we left with it all.
* KKG: It’s not what you become, it’s what you’ve always been.
* KKG: When these letters are in front of you, your sisters are behind you.
* Individually unique, together complete.
* C’mon go Kappa (Retro Partridge Family theme. Shirts had the little partridge birds walking in a line, like the TV show logo)
* A Kappa is Forever (a play on the DeBeers ads “A Diamond is Forever”)

Looking forward to adding more good ideas to this list!! Keep 'em coming!

Our chapter's recruitment shirts were a variation of the ever-popular Kappacino theme... they said "Kappachino- Sweet... Smooth... Intense". :)

BZ had been doing Legally Kappa for two years now as a spinoff on Legally Blonde. I haven't been able to see the skit, but it's been very well received during recruitment. I can't remember if they tie a specific quote to it or not.

Others I've seen:
* Friends by chance, sisters by choice: Kappa Kappa Gamma

Man, I'm drawing a blank! I'll try think of more. :)

I designed our bid day shirts this spring from scratch. I was quite pleased with myself.

The shirts themselves were dark blue and all the print was in white, except for the key, which was gold, of course.

I designed a Barbie-themed work week t-shirt for my chapter in 2004. I wish I still had the images...

The front had Kappa written in Barbie-style font, with the registered trademark logo as a fleur-de-lis in a circle. Underneath it said "Every girl's Dream House." On the back was "Since 1870" and another circled fluer-de-lis. Every pledge class had a different color - pink, purple, and teal (no freshmen yet, as it was pre-recruitment).

One of my pledge sister's dad did the screenprinting. His company's website is below and his name is Randy Park.

Sorry to crash!

A few years ago, the Baylor chapter had navy shirts with the Top Gun logo on it and underneath it said, "Show me the way home, honey." I LOVED it!!

I just saw the shirts that were designed for my chapter's recruitment this year. I'm an alum from Eta Eta at UCF, which has a huge Greek community. Half the sororities have gorgeous houses, and the other 6 (newer) sororities- including my chapter- are unhoused.The housed/unhoused issue is a huge one during recruitment, so the shirts say:

"We may not have a house, but we have the foundation stronger than any building!"

our chapter @ marist has done a "Kappa & the City" recruitment... each night's theme is based on a "Sex & the City" character... PM if you'd like the details--- it was such a hit last semester, that we're doing it again this fall!

our tee-shirts were black with hot pink lettering... the front said "Kappa & the City" in the SATC logo, with "Recruitment 2005" underneath.... on the back we had the quote, "Today I had a thought... what if I'd never met you?"... everyone loves them!
