Just wanted everyone to know that my KD daughter is doing just great!!! The 28th is activation; she has moved into the house; she has two parts in Iowa State's drama production A Christmas Carol -- She is happy and doing well-- Thanks for everyone's support!!!

I just have to add that nobody in my family has ever been Greek on either side as far as we know. I was the first one to even rush and I know Mom and Dad waited eagerly every night for updates, especially my mom and they were both really proud of me after I got two bids.

Afterwards, Mom told me that she was really nervous and really excited for me all throughout rush week.

So I just thought people would like to know that even moms who aren't/weren't Greek themselves have the same emotions and with their sons too. :)

After taking a break from GC for a bit, I came on this morning to enjoy some solitude and coffee and read a bit... I was literally in tears for you and your daughter. Though I would love to have that commonality with a child of sorority membership, reading these threads now I have college-bound kids, I am GLAD I have all boys, I think.

I'd like to bump this one--it's old but timeless!
