I am delighted to be a new member of Greek Chat!!

Hello Everyone!! My name is Barney Raffield, and I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I have been an avid member and supporter of Greek Life for several decades. I am extremely proud brother (frater) of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity! I was a college professor at a number of colleges and universities over a forty-year period in which I had extensive and very active experience with Greek life. I have been a chapter adviser for Tau kappa Epsilon, Kappa Sigma, Alpha Tau Omega, Lambda Chi Alpha, Sigma Pi; for one sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma; and for several local fraternities at a variety of small, medium-sized, an large colleges and universities. I taught in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Management, Small Business Management, and International Business. I was also a Fulbright Scholar to Ukraine. My greatest love was my active and widespread involvement in all areas of Greek Life. I also ran seminars and workshops for both students and their parents involving all aspects of Greek Life, especially focusing on the decision to join a national fraternity or sorority. I was fortunate enough to win awards for this work. I think I could be helpful to the Greek Chat Community in a number of different ways based on my experience as a Brother in a national fraternity, and as an educator regarding all aspects of Greek life. I also greatly desire to meet as many members of Greek Chat as possible. Thank you for your kind attention to this very lengthy introduction. Greeks Rule!!! In the bond of Greek Fellowship, Barney (Raffield)

Where have you been for the previous nearly 20 years this site has been active?? Welcome aboard. Your sort of experience with TKE reminds me of the late Eric Conard who was a member here until his passing.
