Fundraising
 

Does anyone out there have any good ideas for fundraising. Which one's are successful and which one's are not?

One idea that has worked around here is getting together with a bar and organizing a night you can sponsor. Now, this can include having some sort of event there (lip sync competition, Greek God/Goddess competition, etc.), but you could work out a deal with the bar manager that allows you to collect a percentage of the profit from the door, bar, or whatever. Groups here at Boston U. have done it, and made a killing off of it. In a best case scenario, you can work something out with the place in question so that you would have first dibs on the place for the rest of the semester. Once you get a certain night associated with you (Kappa Sig night at so and so bar), you should start to see results right away.
