"I Never Wanted to Join a Sorority. Never."

For anyone looking to AI and thinks it's as simple as apply, get to know a couple people, and POOF it's initiation day..Here's a good read:

I honestly adore these types of AI stories. The women who have served our organizations and are invited to join.

I have had the privilege of witnessing TWO Convention initiations of AIs and it is nothing short of amazing seeing someone who has served you so diligently take your vows and become your sister in front of 700+ women and conducted by your Executive Council.

WOWO!!

:D

I saw her name before I read the article and thought that it was vaguely familiar but didn't know why.

Now I remember!!

A lot of the "I'll never join a sorority/fraternity" grow up to be hardest workers!

I love this story. How wonderful to be able to share your sisterhood with women who have given their service to the sorority.

That is a beautiful story! Really reinforces the whole "you're always wearing your letters" thing, too. You never know when you will meet someone who could be an amazing sister. Or what's even more likely, you never know when you will meet someone whose mind you can change about greek life in general.

That being said, I'd really love it if every single one of these inspiring AI stories didn't have to be posted on GC with a "this is the right way to be an AI" type of comment thrown in, as though no one has the right to be an AI with any one of the 26 NPC groups unless the GC police approve of them.

Love Tina. Wonderful story.

I'm sorry you read it that way. When many women coming here seeking AI they think it's just a matter of telling the sorority their intent and suddenly they're members. It doesn't happen like that.
Just thought I'd share a story of hardwork and dedication which led to AI.

Who said that? It's just nice to see someone who has served an organization be invited join. I think that's all anyone's saying.
