I am the only Greek of any kind in my entire extended family. :(

Since my brothers and I are the youngest of our extended family (mom is youngest of 3 and dad is youngest of 6), I'll be the only Greek for a while unless my youngest brother joins a fraternity, but he still has 4 more years until that could happen.

I have a brother who is a sophomore at Frostburg, but I can pretty much guarantee he won't be going Greek, since he does not have the interest, grades, or personality for it.

An Alpha Xi Family!

myself - Alpha Xi Delta
sister - Alpha Xi Delta
2nd cousin - Alpha Xi Delta

I met my cousin for the first time (at least in my adult life) last weekend and I found out she is an AZD courtsey of a magnet on her parents refrigerator! It was an AWESOME moment and needless to say both our dad's started teasing the "Fuzzie's" and asked if we were going to do the secret handshake. We all had a good laught, but it certainly made it a lot easier to talk to her throughout the night!

I'm a Sigma Sigma Sigma. My little sister just pledge Zeta Tau Alpha at a difference university. We're the only ones in the whole family (cousins and such included).

That's it! Although to be fair, there aren't a lot of college grads further up the family tree, and if you don't go to college you can't join a GLO.

Me: Alpha Phi Omega

And that's it! I was the first to attend college in my immediate family so, sadly, no legacy here. I'm hoping that one of my cousin's, whom plans on attending UTSA next fall, will change that. *Has fingers crossed*
The only other person on my mother's side to attend college was my great-aunt, she transferred to UTexas in the 60's but was pretty anti-Greek... still is to this day.

However, on my fiancee's side of the family--
Grandmother: Delta Zeta
Grandfather: Was a member of a fraternity, not sure which GLO.

I have a good hunch my future sister-in-law, who is at the moment 13, will probably make the attempt at rush when her time comes. I secretly envy her being a legacy but oh well.
