Hello, my name is Mimi, I strongly would like to start a new chapter in Michigan under Beta Sigma Phi. Anyone has any pointers for me? And how long is the estimated time until I hear back from a chapter?

Hey Mimi:
From one Mimi who is a sister of Beta Sigma Phi to you, may I make a kind suggestion?
A great way to start a new chapter of Beta Sigma Phi is to talk to the women in your life that you already know. It's much easier for those with whom you already have a connection with to show genuine interest in your new fishbowl, than to throw a net and hope that you catch six fish and hope that they'd thrive in the fishbowl.

Also, most of us on this site are already in Greek Letter Organizations, and you probably aren't targeting the audience you're hoping for by posting in this forum.

Please PM me if you would like to chat.

Usually details like that can be found on the organization website under "extension." You have to start through your university first. Talk to your student activities director.

No she doesn't, and there's little need in talking to a student activities director, since Beta Sigma Phi is a community-based sorority, not a collegiate sorority.

Besides, her edit note says she doesn't want to start a new chapter anymore. I hope that means she found a chapter with a location that's convenient for her.
