Aw CRAP. This Auburn Tri Delt was one of my favorite Southern authors; Heartbreak Hotel was incredible.

Dorothea Benton Frank, another Southern author, also died this week.

Such sad news. I loved the work of both these authors.
When I can't find anything new that inspires me I go back and reread old favorites; last week I just added two of Anne's older books to my Kindle to reread.

Thanks for posting this. I've always loved her writing, especially Peachtree Road.

Her book of essays, John Chancellor Makes Me Cry, is hilarious.

I can't believe I missed this! So very sorry to hear about Anne's passing, and will take carnations John Chancellor Makes Me Cry recommendation to heart!

Oh do, she was hilarious in that book!
