Would/Should Oprah run for President in 2018

After her speech at the Golden Globes, any thoughts?:)

Post your ideas!:)

No.

Stop with the celebrities. Just because someone makes a great speech doesn't mean they should be POTUS.

If 2020's election is Trump vs. Oprah, I think I'll lose it.

Please no.

Actions speak louder than words...

It doesn't make a difference to me.

WOW, a lot of venom on this post!

Oprah is not some fly by night person is she? Worth @ $3.5 Billion give or take!

She has been in a movie or two and a producer, started her own T V Network. Talk show host, started a magazine and other things. I would say she knows more influential people than Trump.

She is a very astute person who has a better relationship with people than many! BTW, she grew up poor and made something of her self!

Granted, she has 0 political experience, Trump did not either. She has two things going for her! She is a self made Black and a woman to boot.

The dumbest thing is not to keep an open mind!:(

Remember when Reagan was slipping, Nancy ran the White House.:D

She may not run any way. But who really knows until it happens!:D

Would you want someone to perform brain surgery on you because they made a lot of money in TV? Would you want that person to defend you from a murder charge? So why would you want that person to be the leader of the free world with zero relevant experience or education? Knowing more than the current President is a very low bar.

What we need is a "self-made black."

There's a history of first ladies running the show when the President was unable. I have no doubt a woman can do the job, but I'd much rather see someone with at least a little relevant experience step up to the plate.

All of this.

Heck, I have six years experience as a commercial underwriter, I hold four insurance designations, I have my bachelors degree and a paralegal certificate, and I'm still not qualified for some underwriting jobs.

But hey... someone who has zero political experience? Sure, let them be the leader of the free world!

We've now seen how well THAT turns out.

^^^This and also to add, I wish we had a like button for posts. :)

I like Oprah, she appears to be sane, level headed and earnest in word and deed. But....I do not want her as my president (nor did I want our current office holder).

I am waiting for the O/2O2O signs to appear here in Chicago.

Griffins&Quills 01-11-2018 06:11 PM

I also do not think Dwayne Johnson or Kid Rock or Kanye should be running for president either.

Kevin 01-12-2018 08:38 AM

Or Tom Hanks.

Tom Earp 01-13-2018 01:54 PM

I guess now what would be The Ideal Candidate?

Black self made female, has political back ground, Transgender who is Gay?

Did I miss any bases?:D

I know there has to be some thoughts here, LOL!

I would have said truthful, but that does not seem to fit the profile of any Politicians anymore?
