Royal Families

Is anyone else intrigued by royalty, especially the British Royal Family?

Anyone have any suggestions for naming the newest little prince? It is Shakespeare's birthday, so there could be some fun names in his honor!

Francis Albert Edward: it's always a mouthful when you have a royal name!

I think "Phillip" is a contender.

I would kinda like one of his (many) names to be Spencer ...

"Charles" will probably been in there somewhere.

How is that Kate goes to the hospital to have a baby but comes out looking like she's had a spa day and got a baby as a parting gift?

Her hair & makeup stylist was seen leaving the hospital right before William and Kate appeared with their new baby boy.

The name “Albert” may be a family name given to nephews. One of Harry’s names is Albert, which is also a name of his uncle Andrew. Hoping a NO on Albert due to the “Prince Albert in a can” jokes and it’s a name of a ... um ... piercing (look it up if you don’t know and are curious).

At a football game earlier in April, Prince William told fans “I’m going to insist the baby is called Jack” after player Jack Grealish scored. Probably an In-the-heat-of-the-moment football close game win. But could also tie in the British flag, the Union Jack. Jack seems too short for a formal birth certificate name, but can be a nickname for John/Jonathan or James.

I’m going to guess Arthur Phillip James Spencer or some variation there of. He would be named after his father, his mother, his great grandfather (among other British royalty) and William could keep his promise that his son would be called Jack.

Surely William will be in there somewhere...Shakespeare (most scholars think) was also born on April 23 and also died on the same day. Why not honor the greatest British playwright?

That would be classy!

I think they covered Granddaddy with Charlotte.

I read earlier that the Duchess left the hospital quickly so they wouldn't be a disturbance to the other families there. It's not like she's going home to single-handedly take care of two kids and a newborn!

I hear that James, Philip, Andrew, Arthur and Albert are in the running. The Queen does not care for trendy names, or at least, did not in the past.

Somehow I doubt the queen has changed her stance on the trendy names front. I personally like James myself.

Also did anyone catch Princess Charlotte waving to people and the cameras as she walked with Prince George and their dad. How cute was that!

I'm so excited the baby was born on my birthday (and Shakespeare's, lol).

Maybe they could name the baby Scienceman.

And, Prince Harry is getting married on my daughter's birthday, May 19!

Has the new baby gotten a name yet? I'm guessing "Arthur."
