REC LETTER QUESTION
Hi, y’all! I’m a sophomore at Auburn who is interested in the Tri Sigma colonization process next fall. However, I do not know any ladies (no one I know knows any Tri Sigmas either) to ask for rec letters. There are not any alumnae chapters near me either. I was just wondering what y’all would recommend I do?

Where are you located? You can PM if you wish.

That would be great thanks!

yes, using y'all and Tri Sigma together is a bit of a disconnect ;) but their presence will grow fast now!
|
DubaiSis, I don't understand your comment. Do you mean Sigma's presence at Auburn, or in the South in general? No snark - I'm just interested! ;)
Anyway, AubieObsessed, I would also be happy to assist any interested women here, but I do want to stress that our colonization process won't require letters of recommendation like the traditional formal recruitment process. Recommendations are always helpful, but not necessary. |
I meant in the south in general. Not that you're NOT there already, but with Auburn your presence will be much larger. I see Tri Sigma as more Midwestern/Eastern, but maybe I have that wrong.

Y'all is a fairly common expression in both southern and central Illinois. ;) It has mistakenly slipped out of my mouth even living overseas for 3 years, and I haven't been in southern Illinois since 2007.
I happy to see there are PNMs that are excited we are coming to Auburn. |
Haha! It's interesting - Tri Sigma does so well in pockets of the US. Louisiana, the Midwest, and Pennsylvania, along with Virginia where we were founded are all very strong areas for us. I'm proud of the progress we've made over the past few years, as we're really focusing on rechartering closed chapters and expanding our presence in key locations - like Auburn! And I am pumped to see Sigma on the Plains. :)
Best of luck to you, AubieObsessed! |
