You know you're a Kappa when...
 

I borrowed this thread from the ADPi's because I thought it was so fun!

* Your room is decorated in blue & blue...
* You always spot anything with blue & blue, irises, fleur-de-lis, or keys on it while shopping
* Your boyfriend notices those same things as "the Kappa symbol thing" while shopping with you!

I am sure I will think of more, but I want to see what everyone else has to contribute! :)

You know you're a Kappa when...
 

...when you make your fiance stand on a bench in front of France in Epcot to take a picture of the bushes shaped into a giant fleur-de-lis...

...when you use your lucky iris pen in class to take an exam and everyone in there looks at you like you are crazy, and you just smile b/c you know that iris is going to help you pass the dang thing...

...when you decide that irises are going to be in your wedding and that blue will be one of your colors...

...when you buy blue and blue clothes simply because you see it and scream "LOOK!!! it's a KAPPA dress!"...

...when your favorite fraternity knows all your songs... :)

(Okay, background to set this up -- I am involved in a program to teach english in Japan and was assigned to my area randomly.) Okay, now, you know you're a Kappa when...

...you are sent to some random town in Japan and discover that the town's symbol is the blue iris and you think that it must be fate.

...you find yourself purchasing anything with a fleur-de-lis on it, even if you don't really need it.

...you begin to learn a foreign language and you look up Kappa-related words (key, iris, owl, etc.) so that you'll be able to use them if you need to.

...you watch Ashley Judd movies and look for any hidden Kappa symbols.

...you turn a boring Sunday night of sitting on the couch and watching TV into a thrilling game of "Spot the Kappa!"

(Or maybe I'm the only one that does this? But in case you're interested, I found four Kappas in an hour or so: Mariska Hargitay on "Law and Order: SVU", Candice Bergen on "Sex and the City", the character of Charlotte on "Sex and the City" and Ashley Judd on the cover of my Allure magazine! :) )
