The crazy week before Thanksgiving break my pledge semester... Thursday: Big Sis Party, Friday: DG exchange, Saturday: Phi Psi's rolled deep and took over a party at another house 7. The count down (5...4...3...2...1...) at the end of 14 months of alcohol and social probation 8. Surpassing my goal of 30 pledges by 18 (total 48) my first semester as rush chair 9. Formal '03 -- VEGAS BABY!!! 10. Raising $22,000 for make-a-wish foundation and having every greek on campus shit their pants. |

On my way back to Iowa from UIFI, I stopped by Headquarters in Indianapolis- had a really great time visiting with HQ staff members and seeing all the photographs and memorabilia throughout the building. |

The concept of never paying for just about anything after airfare is hard to get tired of. I grew up in a rather infamous part of Southern California where Greek life is huge, but Phi Psi is fairly smaller than the dominant houses so I really anticipated seeing how we're represented around the country. It's always an eye-opener to meet brothers from other chapters-from what I can tell from the 17 or 18 chapters I've encountered, no two are identical... |

Status: Alumni Badge #: 1045 Offices Held: VGP, AG, IFC Treasurer, IFC Vice-President Major: Sociology/Economics Favorite Phi Psi Memory: Road trip to USC in 1985-Man, we had a great time visiting the UCLA and the USC campuses. The best part was being in Westwood after the game on Saturday, wearing our sweatshirts with the letters on them, and sorority girls asking us, "...What chapter are you guys from???...", because it was pretty obvious that we weren't UCLA Phi Psis!!! But the brothers were pretty cool though, they are (were) the studs of the campus, so it was pretty cool hanging out with them. Also, going to the Big Game Lunch with the brothers of the now-closed Cal Gamma chapter. They are our biggest rivals, and it was always fun to beat them! |
