Well, isn't this how these things get started? I'll post it on the ADPi thread, you take care of the Phi Mu thread, and we'll just keep it up! :)

I was just thinking earlier, I had an equal number of bridesmaids from ADPi and Phi Mu! Of course, I had the wrong groom, but I think I have that corrected for this next time! ;)

Okay, for those with really too much time on their hands (!), I wonder if there are two chapters of ANY two sororities that have the same chapter name?

I don't exactly know of any, but it would be like:

Alpha Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi - Georgia Wesleyan College
Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu - Georgia Wesleyan College

and of course, the Farmville Four, the Monmouth Duo, etc. Any takers?

Was looking up something else this afternoon and discovered
that both the Alpha Xi Delta chapter and the Delta Gamma chapter at Bowling Green State Univ. are Beta Mu chapter.

Ripon College is in Ripon, Wisconsin :)

I think that there are at least one chapter named Beta Phi at Indiana University (AOII-Beta Phi). I have known people to be confused when talking about the XX chapter - the confusion coming with the chapter name being another NPC sorority/fraternity name. . .

We don't have a sorority here with our same chapter name but we do have a fraternity with the same chapter name: Theta Sigma chapter of ZTA and Theta Sigma chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha.

I never even knew there was a connection!!

How funny I have been an ADPi for three going on four years and had never heard of our connection. That is so cool to know!!! I have never met any Phi mu's because we don't have that chapter at U. of Central FL. Good thing to find out some more history about greek life!

Ok ... here's something really weird ...I saw today that Kappa Delta's chapter at Bowling Green State Univ. is also their Beta Mu chapter ... How about that ... three chapters on the same campus with the same chapter name.

At U of Nebraska, both DG and XO are "Kappa chapter".

I think I read somewhere that both sororities have magnolia trees on the Weslyan campus. Therefore, I move that we be called the Macon Magnolias.

heh heh heh. Seriously though, I feel the bond too! We don't have an ADPi chapter here, either -- but whenever I meet an ADPi I excitedly tell her, "I'm in your sister sorority!" So we're, uh, sister sisters. Right?

I REALLY like the Macon Magnolias tag! I've been looking for a font that sums it up a bit better...

I just love them! I was thinking that a nice lavender would be a good combination of the ADPi azure blue and the Phi Mu's pink, but there's no lavender available:

Macon Magnolias

Our EO Convention is this week; I'm going to email some of the ladies who will be there (hoping that they have their laptops!) and maybe they can spread the word!

Why, I'm just so happy, I think I'm going to faint dead away...! :)

What a neat idea to combine the azure blue & phi mu's pink!

And also a neat idea to spread the word through Convention!

*sigh* I wish I could be at Convention this year! Hopefully next time! :)
