Alpha Delta Pi memorabilia
If you will pardon my barge...
I came across some of my mother's ADPi items this past weekend and thought I would share with you a day in the life of an ADPi in 1960. Her pledge book http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...44/photo-5.jpg Recipt for dues, housing and initiation http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...44/photo-6.jpg My personal favorite...a little sister adoption card. Are these still given? http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...44/photo-7.jpg Her colors http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...44/photo-8.jpg Her composite http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...44/photo-9.jpg I have some other items and photo's I will post as well. |
Priceless! (I too am out of my lane...)
|
My favorite is the Big-Little agreement. Also, the receipt. It says to "Save Your Receipts" and she sure did!
|
Was she ever at UNT? I ask because the dorm name and room number on that little sister adoption slip are suspiciously close to where I lived as a freshman!

Here are a few more items.
TCU Greek Guide http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...4/photo-11.jpg Party schedule. She has a newspaper article that says 700 girls went through recruitment that year. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...4/photo-10.jpg Mom was dropped and also got engaged while in school. Can someone tell me if these photo's are the dropped or engagement or maybe even a pinning? I love how everyone is wearing the same thing. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...4/photo-12.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63...4/photo-13.jpg |
Oh, how I love what you are sharing. And I am so upset that I didn't save every little thing now. The photos look like they are standing on the entrance steps outdoors.
Could you help me understand what you meant by your mom getting dropped? |

Love it. Every ADPi chapter does it differently, so no way to know it was a dropping, pinning or engagement from the photos.

Yet another time that I wish we had a LIKE button!
Yet another time I wish my printer would work, so I could show you a postcard from EO in the 1950's (not to me, though)! |
Those pictures are beautiful!
|
Out of my lane here too, but I agree with Honeychile, I wish we had a LIKE button.
I wonder in years to come if our daughters, will be posting our memorabilia online for future greeks to look at? |
Love the white dresses and the gloves!
